QuickVideo DVC1 is a color video camera that sits on your desktop and includes all of the features of QuickVideo Transport except you don't need a camcorder.  Without having to open your PC, DVC1 is easy to install and in minutes you can start sending Videograms to anyone via email or post your favorite videos to your web site.

DVC1 connects to your PC through a standard parallel port and draws power from the keyboard connector making it ideal for use with notebooks on the run.  You won't need to lug around another AC adapter or PCMCIA video capture card.  Unlike other parallel port video cameras, DVC1 allows you to capture full motion video at frame rates from 15 to 30 frames per second.  You can also snap great high resolution pictures at resolutions up to 1600x1200!

DVC1 comes bundled with Alaris' Videogram Creator.  With Videogram Creator, you can preview live video and capture video and stills into your PC.  With our latest release of Videogram Creator, you can save video and images into almost any file format (including AVI, BMP, WAV, JPG, etc.) or you can use the captured video to make Videograms that you can send to anyone with a Windows PC.  Videograms are highly compressed video files that can be played back on a recipient's PC without any special hardware or software.  For more information on Videograms, visit our frequently asked questions page.  To download some Videogram samples, visit our  samples page.

QuickVideo DVC1 comes with all of the software drivers you need to work with the most popular video conferencing and video editing applications.  A TWAIN driver is also included so you can capture high resolution still images from your favorite photo editing application.  Just open your photo editor (like Photoshop, LivePix, etc.) and select QuickVideo DVC1 as the TWAIN source and start snapping pictures.  Its that simple!

DVC1 has been tested with the most popular video conferencing software including NetMeeting from Microsoft, VDOPhone from VDO and CUSeeMe from Whitepine.  For those of you that have not tried video conferencing, we recommend that you download your free evaluation copy of NetMeeting from Microsoft's website.  NetMeeting comes with Internet Explorer 4.0, is H.323 compatible and works well for basic video conferencing over a network.

With DVC1, you get everything you need to start capturing full motion video and high resolution photos into your PC.   At a List Price of $119, QuickVideo DVC1 is one of the easiest and least expensive ways to add video conferencing to your PC.  Using the Videogram Creator software that is included with DVC1, you can make Videograms that you can send via email or post on your website.  You will be amazed at how quick and easy it is.
