XVD™ technology will be utilized by OEMs to bring a new class of performance to security and surveillance applications. By porting the XVD codec to hardware platforms using DSPs (digital signal processors), high-resolution full-speed video capture is now possible in real-time.

This cost-effective design provides advanced file compression capabilities, which reduces storage requirements and makes wireless transmission possible. Such features reduce over all system cost and provides greater flexibility in setting up surveillance networks.

XVD’s modular design also allows system integrators to tailor their offerings to provide additional higher-value services such as image processing security analysis, data management and reporting capabilities.
