For audio applications,
the XVD codec is optimized to produce very efficient file compression,
creating MP3-quality audio at less than one-fourth the file size.
This makes it possible for enabling a new class of mobile devices
to stream music and audio content over wireless networks and existing
mobile phone networks. Web enabled portable devices will be able
to stream Internet radio or a music server with MP3 stereo quality.
For
video applications, XVD can support delivering digital
video of up to 24 frames per second over existing low-bandwidth
mobile network infrastructure. This provides an opportunity for
a wide range of high quality content distribution for mobile phones
and PDA’s. |
