Frank
Wilde, Chairman of the Board
Mr. Wilde
has over 21 years experience in the information technology marketplace
and has led multiple technology startup companies from initial funding
through dramatic growth and successful exit. He is currently the
Chairman of Starlight Technology Partners, which invests in technology
development companies dedicated to the embedded systems and networking
space. Prior to joining DigitalStream, Mr. Wilde was President and
CEO of Ravisent Technologies Inc. where he led a team that commercialized
digital video software for PC and consumer electronics markets.
Under Wilde's direction, RAVISENT grew from a small team of software
developers delivering their first product in September 1996 to 275-person
organization supplying the industry's leading software components
for digital multimedia, datacasting processing and internet browsing.
In addition, the company was selected as a Deloitte & Touche
Fast 50 award winner 3 years in a row, Technology Pioneer by the
World Economic Forum and won 3 successive PC Magazine Editor's Choice
awards for its software products. During this time, he raised over
160 million dollars of equity capital from public and private markets,
transitioned the company from a hardware company to a software and
Intellectual Property licensing company, and later successfully
sold 3 divisions of the company. Earlier he has held a number of
senior management positions with P&L responsibilities in high
technology companies, including IBM, Dell, Wicat Systems and Academic
Systems. Mr. Wilde has a BS in business administration from Seton
Hall University and a retired Major from the US Army Reserves.
Sam
Takagi, Director
Mr. Takagi
is a co-founder and board member of DigitalStream. A seasoned high-tech
veteran with over 25 years of industry experience, he has extensive
network skills in developing international business between companies
in the US and Japan. Earlier he was a board member of Ravisent Technologies,
which at one time captured 70% of world's PC DVD market. During
that time he also served as the General Manager for Ravisent Japan.
Earlier Mr. Takagi was CEO of THEOS Japan, and before that was CEO
of WordPerfect Corp. Japan. Mr. Takagi graduated from University
Utah, Graduate School.
