Supervised research projects to further improve core video and audio compression technology (achieved up to 30% bit-rate savings for the video codec)
Product and Project Management for Broadcast High-Definition Encoder and Decoder (including initial project proposals, design documents, budgeting, scheduling, release management and testing, support and interaction with customer service). The product has received "Most Outstanding Award" from NHK and is currently selling to major Japanese and US networks
Project management for SD-TX100 (ultra-small encoder and decoder for applications like surveillance, confidence monitoring and remote news gathering)
Developed multi-processor architecture for high-definition XVD encoding
Led several engineering projects to continue development of the client XVD software: on mobile players (BREW/Symbian), on PDAs: (PocketPC/Windows Mobile), embedded systems (TI DSP)

1999 - 2001: Supervisor of Information Processing Laboratory

Supervised several R&D projects including development of proprietary audio and video compression algorithms, Java multimedia broadcasting, Videoconferencing software, DSP porting and performance optimization, internal tools for codec optimization
Personally contributed to the development of video compression algorithms
Our Java-based VideoMail technology was licensed to Talkway and was a part of ATT WorldNet service

1996 -1999: Project Lead

Led the development of Windows software for creation and playback of compressed video streams and Java applets for compressed video playback from a Web-site. Developed system architecture; provided project management and wrote critical parts of C/Java code
Developed video compression algorithm for videoconferencing over ordinary phone lines and video-email (patented in USA). The codec was integrated into "Videogram Creator 1" - first video email software.

1994 - 1996: Software Engineer

Developed image compression algorithm based on the fractal technology.
Algorithms for error-correction and public-key cryptography.
