Product: XVD Digital Video Recorder.
Motto: Replace VCR in every home! (Didn't quite happen.)
Description: Allows users to digitally record their favorite TV shows and their home videos directly to a low-cost CD.
XVD advanced codec technology allows for up to 3 hours of high-quality digital video recording onto a standard CD-R or CD-RW, with an additional 3 hours of content possible in extended play (EP) mode. Content recorded can then be played back on any PC with XVD auto-play feature, with no additional software required.
